Unlike the first two games tonight, this game was really long.
It was my decks fault. I had so many cascade triggers going off, there were turns my storm count was greater than a dozen. I do not really enjoy playing this deck. Turns take way too long.
Michael was a venturing machine, he had gone through all three dungeons and triggered Ellywick Tumblestrum ultimage ability, too bad he never got to take initiative and get that fourth dungeon delved. I really thought Michael had a chance to get the win with the deck I gifted him.
Unfortunately for Michael and the rest of us, Jeff was playing the new Witherbloom Pestilence precon deck from Secrets of Strixhaven… the same Secrets of Strixhaven that has produced four other precon decks that have not lost a match yet.
Jeff had Ribtruss Roaster, Tendershoot Dryad, and Beledros Witherbloom on the battlefield. He had so many damn token saprolings and pests, he was able to steamroll over everyone else. I was the first one out. An hour later Jeff had the victory. This game lasted two hours.
